The Mouk story ..."Ee-taow ...Ea-taow!!" --- "It is true ..It is true!!" Or "We believe ...we believe!!"
Papua New Guinea ...northeast of Australia. off the northern tip of Queensland. A large island that was quite uncivilized, yet ...rather quickly, became more advanced than most places on earth.
Well, not technology-wise ...but, with spiritual growth. And what would you say is more important anyway??
Who wouldn't want to advance to ...where the Supreme Being has established a kingdom??
And to be a part of that kingdom, is to humbly accept the fact that none of us humans are supreme over any others.
In Papua New Guinea, they didn't see much difference in each other ...and they viewed each other similarly in their failures.
Their failures were similar by the fact that they new the difference ...between right & wrong. And they knew they failed at this.
When a missionary from New Tribes Mission came ...they shared their lifestyle, and they were aided by technology in translation. But, they were mostly aided by a member of their tribe who learned very quickly ...and helped them in the translation.
Once the language was able to be communicated fairly well ...they shared with the Mouk tribe some of the different views on how they came into existence. They were then asked which one they felt was true.
They said they didn't know which one was true ...but, one of the ideas was stupid. They said it was stupid to think man & woman came from monkeys or ape-like creatures.
They were then shown many maps ...
There was a drawing of their village ...and a drawing of their village in relation to other villages. They were aware of the coastline, and they could also see on the maps that they lived on a large island ...which was just north of a much larger island, a continent named Australia.
They were then shown a map of the entire world, and saw their position in the world in relation to other lands. They were told of tribes in Israel, who were given the truth about how they all came into existence.
The map shown how the truth traveled from Israel ...to throughout Europe, to the Americas, and now to them. And they were very excited that it was now coming to them.

The most elation came when they found out about Jesus. They loved being told about Him, but then being told that Jesus came to save them from their wrongdoing was a celebration like none other.
